Medicine goes down

One more warmup doodle that relates to a work story.
I’m a daycare assitant, and one of my jobs while school is in session is to walk the kids up the driveway from the bus stop to the daycare at the top. I really only have two-three kids to worry about, but there’s two other little boys who get off with our group that live in the house nearby, so I decided I may as well walk everyone up. Usually the kids run ahead of me because they’ve made a game out of who can get up the driveway the fastest, but there’s one nine-year-old little boy who always lags behind. I always made sure to go a little slower so we’d end up at the top at the same time.
He’s one of those quite kids who clearly has interests that don’t quite match most of his fellow classmates, something I can understand since I was that kid growing up too, so around the second day I started walking the kids up he shyly sparked a conversation with me, and I managed to get him talking. We talked about video games and the Hulk, and he got super jazzed to show me the games he’d brought with him to school that day. Since then he gets really excited to see me and will wave if he’s on the bus but not getting off at our stop.
Then a couple of days ago, same routine, he gets off the bus and puts his hand up to his mouth like he’s going to tell me a secret and says “Hey you, you’re really pretty. I’m serious, you seriously are.”
And it was just really cute.
